History
Mantis Geotech was founded in 2019 with a need to provide comprehensive services to a myriad of geological and biological projects. With over two decades of experience in the environmental construction, biosurvey and mining industry, Mantis Geotech has set out to exceed client expectations. With our team of professional biologists, field techs, geologists, and engineers we are setting the bar for industry performance at competitive rates.

Wyatt Stein
Project Manager
Wyatt Stein is an environmental scientist and project manager with geotechnical and biological experience spanning over 45 projects across the western US. He graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Environmental Science and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has designed and overseen field projects in the mining, environmental construction, wildlife management, and habitat restoration industries.
Wyatt has provided services for a number of private corporations and government agencies including BLM, Oregon Dept. of Forestry, USFS, and Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District.

Laura Millan
Geologist
Laura is a junior geologist with a background in exploration fieldwork and project management. She graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with a degree in Geology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She has gained extensive field experience working in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona and her expertise extends to project and office management

Nicholas Barr
Geologist
Nick Barr has nearly 40 years of experience as a mining engineer geological consultant across the Southwest United States, centered in the Phoenix, Arizona area. He has served as an exploration Geologist and geotechnical investigator for both precious metals and base metals, managing surface and underground mapping.
His experience includes target generation, surface and underground mapping, reclamation, permitting and claim staking, mobile metallic ion and biogeochemical sampling, supervision of rotary, RC and core drilling, reporting and managing crews.
Mr. Barr worked on geotechnical investigation work, including studies on slope stability, foundations and rock mechanics. for a Federal Agency.. He has served organizations as diverse as Technical/A&M, Trueclaim, Transatlantic, Sage Gold and Fisher-Watt.
Mr. Barr earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Southern Oregon State University, Ashland, Oregon.

Kachina Rowland
Wildlife Biologist
Kachina is an academic professional with over 5 years of experience leading large-scale wildlife management projects. She has a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and M.S. in Natural Resources from Cal Poly Humboldt. Kachina provides precise documentation and comprehensive project management on a wide array of species including Spotted Owls, Marbled Murrelets, Snowy Plovers, and Western Scrub Jays.
